History of Rev Romeo

How it began:

Our brother Romeo has been a healer since he was a young boy. In the old days, the sick people would be taken through his village, where they would take a short rest, before continuing on their way to the hospital. And of course, as usual, the village folk - most especially the children - being very curious, would come to have a look at those that were sick. One day when brother Romeo was about twelve years old, just out of curiosity, he touched one of these people lying on a stretcher. All of a sudden this man that brother Romeo touched, said he felt something as the young boy touched him, and he started to get up, much to the amazement of his friends and relatives. The man said he was fine and was going to go back home. A huge argument broke out between this now healthy man wanting to go back home, and his friends/family that were insistent that he should continue on to the hospital. The argument was eventually settled by the man saying that he was fine, and he was going back home and that if they wanted, they were welcome to continue on to the hospital, but he was very sure that he would not meet them there. With that, he turned around and started walking away.

The reluctant healer:

After this incident, of course, the news traveled fast, far and wide. From all over, people would come to this young boy when they were sick. Brother Romeo being very young at the time, felt insecure and overwhelmed, and would often run away when the people came to him for healing, and often, was found hiding in a tree, crying. This was a very difficult time for him, and his mother, Tinang, was a strong support to him, and a great influence in shaping him for his future mission.

Further training:

Reverend Sekundo was a well established, powerful and well known healer. He came to hear about this small ‘wonder boy’ from a rural area, and sent his assistant to bring this boy to him. After a short interview, Rev. Sekundo took brother Romeo under his wing and trained him to do the psychic operations. Brother Romeo was 16 when he did his first operation and he and Rev. Sekundo became good friends.

Life goes on:

Brother Romeo has always had a lot of energy and after the school day, was involved in numerous sports. His favorite was basketball. He would get up every morning, tie weights to his legs and go jogging in the crisp morning air. He was a great player and a favorite of his teammates not just because of his skill but his personality as well. Always making a joke or two but serious when it came to playing basketball and healing.

In his second year of studies at the college, he dropped out because the demand on his time by patients, was getting too much, and he discovered that this was his true life’s mission and calling. He started his own full time practice in the city of Bagiuo, and successfully treated many patients. He also befriended the well known spiritual healer and author Monsignor Rudolfo Cabe, and they remained life long friends.

After a few years the quiet and tranquil life of his home village was calling him, and he gave up the bright city life and moved back to where he still resides today, with his family. He lives 20 km north of San Fernando in a small town called Tagudin.

Present day.

Brother Romeo is considered one of the beloved healers among the foreign patients, and is called the ‘happy healer’ for obvious reasons. He and his mother Tinang, have a very good relationship and are very close. In the year 2006, patients from France donated a 30-foot light cross, that was erected in front of his house, and at night, can be seen from far away. His church is soon to be erected at the foot of this light cross.

His annual schedule:

He is part of a small, select group of healers, this being a strict process that is used by foreign groups, mostly from Germany and France. Groups from these countries have been coming for years, are well organized, and usually stay for 3 weeks at a time.

Brother Romeo was invited to Switzerland October 2007!

His schedule includes:

  • An average of 5 foreign groups per year, of  20+ people per group.

Rev. Romeo is very busy, so pre-booking is essential.

Special spiritual workshops can also be organized for people that want to continue and futher their own healing.
